Join us in ringing in the New Year!  Most of us begin to reflect on 2018 and will resolve to change, increase, continue, or delete something from our lives. A wise pastor once told me we are all given the same 24 hours in the day.  He challenged us to "squirrel away" or store up treasures in heaven instead of treasures on earth and referenced this verse:

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:19‭-‬21

Why then, I must ask myself was I led to reopen a store whose jingle sings "The Treehouse, Treasures from the Heart." 

My treasure is in the heart of our prayer corner. My heart delights in the witnesses to the power of prayer through our clients, family, and friends who have come to pray for others in the community, and ask for prayer for their needs as well. I will be "squirreling away" all the prayer requests and providing a safe encouraging corner for their delivery to the faithful Lord who says ask, and it shall be given you.  And, pray without ceasing.  

What will you squirrel away in 2019? 

All of our loyal clients help us keep the doors open to this community prayer corner. And, I say thank you for your support.  

I look forward to God continuing to unravel his plan with our store in 2019. Stay tuned, for his plans are always better than my own. My request is that you pray the Lord keeps guiding and directing our store according to his will for 2019 and that great revival and fulfillment may come to those who place their prayers in our corner. 

 

As I reflect on the past year, I can't help but be overwhelmed with gratefulness. Never did I think I would be the chief executive officer, selling and sharing gifts and home decor, at Treehouse Gift & Home. Yet, here I am a year later, only wishing I would have been able to share this store with our guests sooner. So, on Christmas, with a happy and full heart, I want you to know not only am I thankful for all of our guests and all of our community support, but I am thrilled to have our community as an important part of our Treehouse family! I pray you all an incredibly blessed Christmas Season and 2019!

"Standing beneath the canopy of this Japanese Maple tree was an incredible feeling - I was in awe as the late afternoon light back-lit the delicate leaves. Every branch told its own story, and I felt this special tree had so much to tell. I truly felt an indescribable energy - a total connection with Mother Earth. I used a really wide-angle lens to reach out to as much of the tree as possible. I put my camera on the ground to give me a strong perspective to shoot up into the skies. As the sun sunk toward the horizon, the tree came to life with an incredible display of color, shape and texture - its rays burst into a star within the tree.
